Designers chose the Spanish-style architecture for the tower, where the pointed bell tower has a four-story-high truncated pyramidal top, complete with a decorative cornice. The clock tower has four clocks on each side. Some of the main features on the second and third levels of the clock tower are clock faces with Roman numerals, red arches, and a carved stone symbol of palm fronds. The Worth Avenue Clock Tower was the vision of the late designer and arts patron Jean de Menil, whose impressive portfolio of projects includes the Worth Avenue Clock Tower. Menil chose the location of the tower, on lushly landscaped grounds, in the center of Worth Avenue, known as the Rodeo Drive of Florida.
